Our Route Method

Arcticminglesprigg is an independent reference for riders planning motorcycle trips in the Arctic and sub-Arctic. We publish distances, surfaces and fuel gaps first, because those are the numbers that decide whether a day goes well.

How we build each guide

Every route is split into legs between reliable service points. For each leg we record approximate distance, surface type, highest latitude and the main hazards, then cross-check against official road authority information and published signposting such as mileposts and kilometre posts.

What our figures mean

  • Distances are rounded and marked with “~” where they vary by start point or measuring method.
  • Fuel gaps are the longest stretch you should plan to ride without refuelling, assuming seasonal services may be closed.
  • Latitudes are approximate to the nearest few minutes and given for orientation only.

What we do not do

We do not publish live prices, opening hours or road status, because they change too often to be safe in a static guide. We accept no sponsorship, run no affiliate links and do not review products. We are not affiliated with any road authority, tourism board, ferry operator or manufacturer.

Corrections

Roads change: new bridges open, gravel is paved, services close. If you find an error, send us a correction with the route, location and date you rode it.
